Well is really a week ago that we left the windy Lanzarotee?

When i set out on this adventure it was with the dream of long surfing downwind days with blue skys and the Atlantic has delivered it is amazing, we are currently surfing due west at 12 -13 knots and have a few days ago enjoyed blasts of 20 knots all this on a J Cruiseliner !

Progress should be good over the next three days with stronger winds expected and with our best 24hr run of 294 miles to beat.

This leads to the ultimate goal of box ticking the Atlantic, so its sail fast and safe on Apollo 7 and deliver its astronauts to Grenada in 7/8 days time.

Today was shower day ! So first shower for the full crew (details on demand - lol).

Excellent weather, we could have some more wind.. just right now 7kts, which doesn't make us progressing a lot. Very good atmosphere among the crew and excellent food.

Since 2 days, no boat at the horizon. Just some birds and some flying fishes flying around. We're enjoying life on the big blue ocean.

1778 nm to go until Grenada.

All well here on Yacana! After a few days fishing (literarly!) we cought a couple of fish but couldnt bring them on board, we are now sailing hard again! so hopefully you should see us move up the ranking again! For 60 percent of the crew this is our first transatlantic and we are really enjoying it!(many dolhins and flying fish). Spirits are high for this crew (avg age 49) on a beautiful 20 year old boat.
