Since its first edition in 2014, the RORC Transatlantic Race has always set sail from Lanzarote, Canary Islands. 

Thanks to the steadfast support of Calero Marinas, the Government of Lanzarote and the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife. For over a decade, the Royal Ocean Racing Club has enjoyed a perfect partnership with Lanzarote.

With over 40 years of experience, Calero Marinas manages three marinas in the Canary Islands, including Marina Lanzarote in the island’s capital, Arrecife. CACT Lanzarote (Art, Culture, and Tourism Centres)

Lanzarote abounds with modern art throughout the island. The CACTs are a network of cultural and tourist sites designed to preserve Lanzarote’s unique heritage. Many were created by renowned artist César Manrique and blend art, architecture and nature. They also offer cultural and gastronomic experiences that support sustainable tourism.

Real Club Náutico de Arrecife (RCNA)

The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife assist in the management for the start of the RORC Transatlantic Race. Founded in 1872, the RCNA has produced many national and world champion sailors through its vibrant junior programme. The RCNA also offers family-friendly facilities and the annual Atlantis Academy Optimist clinic, which attracts young sailors from around the world.
